And the @oneillusa Wave of the Winter for this season goes to...the soon-to-be-less-underground Japanese charger @keito_matsuoka for his beyond-perfect maxing First Reef ride on January 14th. Ironically, the ride came exactly one year and two days later than a remarkably similar wave that was in the running for last year's WOTW, caught on January 12, 2018. And he was riding the exact same board, a 6’10” Pyzel. Matsuoka “had chicken skin all day,” as he said, after he caught the wave.
