laurynxwilson I’m sure your intentions are right, and I’m sure your heart is too, but I think a lot of people would appreciate it if you wouldn’t plaster photos of your trip all over Instagram as it comes across as ignorant. Many people feel as though you are advertising this for your own personal gain or “redemption”. Please make sure your intentions and the intentions of the organisation are in check, and make sure that the organisation are actually benefiting the lives of these children instead of simply exploiting their stories.

nicointokyo If you return to Cambodia in the future, please consider supporting @sala.bai.school instead. They're an established hotel and restaurant training school in Siem Reap and the money you spend with them/donate goes directly to funding their students education. Please understand what people are saying about the effects of voluntourism. There are better ways to help.

raquelf.22 Kait,try to actually absolve what's happening there,ok ? Voluntourism can cause more harm than good especially when you are talking about kids. This is not something only Instagram worthy and the kids are not props for photos. Their lives go on when you come back to your country. So I'm hoping you are understanding that.
