Western Atlantic storms are winding down in spring but are far from unheard of. Your odds of fun surf increase significantly if you stay or travel to the nearby North Coast which is more open to receive trade and northeast swells — but it is also more exposed to tradewinds. You can find more nightlife around Aguadilla or even schedule some extra time to socialize in the big city with a flight to/from San Juan versus the more surgical strike to the Northwest coast.
