Photo by @クリス・バーカード | The Faroe Islands are located in the middle of the Atlantic north-west of the United Kingdom and halfway between Norway and Iceland. Due to the gulf stream the temperatures stay above freezing most of the year. Even though it does not snow a lot it is always windy, wet and cloudy. They are known to have the highest sea cliffs in Europe, and some the highest in the world. Photographing from the sky is always difficult in an area of high rain but the clouds rose and allowed me a brief moment to capture the beauty of these cliffs.
