Photo by @amivitale | Najin, reclining, is one of the last two northern white rhinos left on the planet. Her very protective best friend, standing, is a southern white rhino. Najin lives at Kenya’s Ol Pejeta Conservancy (@olpejeta) under 24-hour protection by armed guards. Najin is the daughter of Sudan, the world’s last male northern white rhino who passed away in March due to age-related complications. They were brought to Kenya from @safariparkdvurkralove in the Czech Republic in 2009. These majestic creatures have been poached into near extinction, but indigenous communities and dedicated keepers are hard at work to bring them back. By supporting and visiting these communities, we can help.
