This important day should be every day - #internationalwomensday. If you don’t understand what this image is about, it’s high time to wake up.

Women carrying 35 kilograms (77 pounds) of bricks upon their heads at a brick factory in Assam State, India. These kindest, strongest of ladies, carry such loads 100-200 a day, receiving $.019 cents per 35kg or around $2-4 per day.

Millions of women around the world live and work in extreme difficult situations, with little hope for change, equality, nor opportunity. Without equality, our world will never have peace, our local and global society will never reach our greatest possibilities borne only by achieving something so simple...equal rights, a human right, bringing balance to our imbalanced world.

It is a very telling picture about the plight of women in a single moment in time in a specific geographic location. However, let us take a holistic view of the image. I have been to India quite a few times and unfortunately these woman have been born into poverty. All they know is that in the hot sun they have to work to feed themselves and their children. In the same breath as I know this, I see injustice for women in first world nations. So I believe that collectively we as a people have to understand human value in the purest form. When we learn to truly understand, respect and have compassion for ourselves ;We teach that to children and then only we can shift society for women across boarders and surrender our hearts with love. I believe if you educate a girl genuinely you can educate the world for generations. Much love and light and Thank You. 💕

Thanks John for your work - I am honoured to lead a school in Australia & cannot help but think that your work will & should be shared with young people to build understanding & genuine empathy . If ok with you I will use this image at the various presentations I have to give ?

After seeing this picture so many times, I could guess you face behind the camera while you framing this moment. So effective.
