Olivia Colman won best actress at the #Oscars on Sunday for playing a lonely and manipulative Queen Anne in #TheFavourite. An utterly astonished Olivia gave a giggling, roundabout acceptance speech that nonetheless managed to address the elephant in the room — that her victory had denied one to @glennclose, from #TheWife, who had been expected to break her 7-nomination losing streak. “Glenn Close, you’ve been my idol for so long. This isn’t how I wanted it to be,” Olivia said, as the camera cut to Glenn in the audience. Glenn smiled and offered a “c’est la vie” shrug.
