Artificial Intelligence. I have just launched a really exciting project on SHOWstudio.com which will try and find out if an AI can be " taught " to be creative.
Can I make an AI of myself ?
The images I have posted here are from 2017 when I began this idea . They are from an AI made by the brilliant @quasimondo . He fed the AI all the images I did throughout the shoot of Sara Grace / @walldamort and then threw one out of focus and asked the AI to refocus it using the data it had from all the other images .
It comes down to if the first pixel is red then what is the probability of the colour of the next pixel . This probability based method although creating beautiful imagery does not in any meaningful way mimic the process an artist goes through when the create an image .
Interesting work has been carried out on other artistic fields such as @Microsoft ‘a #thenextrembrandt project or finishing Schubert ‘s Unfinished Symphony by @huawei .
To really understand creativity we have to look at the reasons people create ; love , hate , lust desperation, joy, faith , greed and the process of failure, insecurity, and chance that are all parts of being creative.
