I want to make an AI that can be creative . An AI that can do what I can .
My question is can an AI be taught / programmed / made that can be me ? .
I am convinced that in 20 years maybe 10 even 5, someone will be making an AI that can be creative . I would rather be part of that process rather than not involved. Technology is nearly always pushed further on by big business, the military, the pornography industry, and personally that’s not who I want to see shaping our cultural future . Our future should be in the hands of artists .
All these images were made by the , brilliant #MarioKlingemann (@quasimondo) in 2017, from 100s of photographs I gave him . The AI used all the data to predict what an image should look like based on the data it has .Simply put, if a pixel is red , then what is the most likely colour of pixel from all the examples the AI has of that image . Is this creativity or simply mimicry ? I want to discuss all this and more in the search to make a creative AI .
