Macarons make the perfect treat, and they’re even better when you add the delicious flavour and colour of matcha ? . Who fancies making their own mouth watering macarons – with a unique Japanese twist?! Follow the recipe below and try them for yourself! ? . Ingredients: (Credit @flor_1881) 125g Almond flour 125g Icing sugar 125g Granulated sugar 2tsp Matcha 90g Egg whites (room temp) 1/4tsp Cream of tartar 1 cup White chocolate 1/2 cup Heavy cream . Method: 1. Sift flour, icing sugar and matcha into a bowl twice until mixed fully then set aside. 2. Pour egg whites into bowl and whisk until foamy, then add cream of tartar. Whisk until foamy then add granulated sugar 1tsp at a time. 3. Once egg whites start to form into meringue increase mixing speed to form stiff peak (should be ready when you can tip bowl upside down and nothing falls out). 4. Pour mixture from step 1 into meringue bowl. Scrape and fold the batter until fully mixed (batter should fall like lava). 5. Pipe into 1 inch discs onto baking paper, tap the sheet a few times to get bubbles out and pop any bubbles using a toothpick. 6. Set aside for 30-60 minutes until it forms a skin that won't stick to your fingers. 7. Put cookies in an oven heated to 300°F for 20 minutes, then take out and cool for 5-10 minutes. If they stick to the pan, they need a little longer in the oven. 8. To make the ganache, put white chocolate in glass bowl and simmer heavy cream in a pan. Pour heavy cream into glass bowl and mix with rubber spatula, then set aside to thicken. 9. Using a piping bag, pipe ganache onto the macaron to finish. . ?
