Described as a “sexual anarchist” and blamed for the sexual revolution and deviancy of modern society, Alfred Kinsey performed studies such as measuring how far his patients could ejaculate, filming his coworkers fool around in the attic, and even interviewing a pedophile. He remains a controversial character but he did help dissuade the notion that women climax mainly from penetration vs the clitoris, and created the Kinsey scale which allowed people to think of themselves on a spectrum of hetero to homosexuality rather than binary. Coming from a religious background and a time when people couldn’t even say the word “sex” out loud, it’s easy to take for granted how much taboo and needless shame he helped deconstruct. Are the rumors true that he collaborated with nazis and encouraged child abuse, or is that just a Christian conspiracy? Demon or pioneer? What’s your opinion
