This historic bill seeks to ban “cognitive behavioral manipulation, indiscriminate scraping of facial images from the web or CCTV footage, social scoring, and biometric surveillance profiling people by their race, sexual orientation, political, religious or philosophical beliefs.” Possibly even limiting generative art. Many things have been left ambiguous- like how to enforce these laws. But they’ve opened an intriguing debate of Pygmalion buyer’s remorse.
