It begins with this modest mud and stick school. In this village, this building is a haven of community and learning - a safe space for all.

Here, the children like this student meet every morning where they prepare to enter the local primary school. Women and mothers meet in the afternoon to build #community and develop #literacy.

The school also holds classes in sexual and reproductive #health, #gender roles, #sanitation, #nutrition, home #economics, managing social relationships, stress management, leadership training, peace building and conflict resolution, not to mention vigorous sports and some joyous dancing every now and then.
