Even with my permanent wonky eye, there’s clarity in being sober ?✌?. I’ve been sober for over 9 months now & it’s been eye-opening, to say the least. I’m punny today ? But seriously, I’m proud of myself and that’s something I have to tell myself every day. Along my health journey that I’ve documented on here over the past 2 years or so, I was doing myself a disservice with partying like I was. Then I looked back at the last decade of my life (quite literally through photos) & truly saw the damage I had done to my mind & body. Drinking wasn’t always a “negative” thing in my life, but I can definitely say it wasn’t always a positive either. I was letting down the people around me, not being the best “me”, but more importantly, I was letting myself down & not being the best “me” possible. This abstinence from alcohol has been one of the greatest decisions for me, personally. I’m grateful & thankful for my family & friends who have been supportive along the way — especially my wife & my band ❤️.
