Photo by @amivitale // Friends at Reteti Elephant Sanctuary (@r.e.s.c.u.e) sit on the roof of a 4x4 to get a better view into the distance. Located in northern Kenya, @r.e.s.c.u.e is the first ever community owned and run elephant sanctuary in all of Africa. It provides a home for elephant calves orphaned due to poaching, human wildlife conflict and drought related causes. This oasis where orphans grow up, learning to be wild so that one day they can rejoin their herds, is as much about the people as it is about elephants.
