The World at Night (TWAN) project
Some scenes are forever-engraved moments in my memory. From the boundless darkness of Sahara when the Milky Way was arching above giant sandstones to the shimmering beauty of Grand Canyon under moonlight, and heavenly curtains of dancing aurora next to the Galaxy in this late September night of Iceland. The light of a nearby town shines on the low clouds resembling sunset. Bright stars of the Summer Triangle are visible in the sky: Vega, Deneb, Altair.
