Flashback to when I traded my skates in to work for the Department of State.
I had the honor to work alongside incredible colleagues & diplomats at State in 2012 when I served as an advisor for the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
It’s worrisome how the past 35 day furlough has impacted the lives of an estimated 800,000 government employees and their families. It is not the place to use this time as a bargaining tool. Let’s re-open the government now and continue to have good people who serve our country as public servants, both at home and abroad, get back to work. #fbf
