We usually grumble about the weather, living in a cold country for most of the year. Then I had a thought: winter has given me crackling fires, epic snowball fights with my friends, building forts, childhood memories, cozy cuddles, first snow falls, snowflakes on my tongue, snow days huddled inside (and playtime outside), snowboarding in my teens, ice skating with @nealjolly (some of our favourite dates), helping my grandpa shovel the driveway with my mini shovel (more like me playing and him laughing with me), watching our husky roll around in the fresh sparkling snow every morning, licking it up with pure joy, sledding with my dad on the hill by our house - and those are the things I just wouldn’t take back. So, thank you winter, you are cold, but you’ve given me so much.
