There’s been a lorra lorra attention in the press this week about advertising on social media. As you know, I’m a goodie-two-shoes and the idea of breaking the rules makes me feel a bit sweaty so I like to be overly clear. ?

Featuring brand I love is part of how I make my living and I’m actually very proud to be associated with those I partner with because I only say yes to the good ones and it’s an honour that they’d like to work with us!

If I’ve been paid, it will have ‘in paid partnership’ above the picture and ‘AD’ at the start of the caption. Stories are the same.

Over the years I have been sent so many gorgeous gifts and obviously, I like to use them- make the most and all that jazz! This means they are dotted all round my house and even if they’re not the main feature of the post, I need to tell you they are gifted. I’m going to disclaim ‘Some items in this image may be gifted’ on a lot of my photos so that even if it was gifted months/years ago, it’s clear. I always tag new things in case you’re interested for yourselves too <3 .
I’ve never been loaned an item but if I am in the future, I’ll do # loaned. .
I’ve seen a lot of negativity about all of these changes but I actually really like them. I think if you have clear rules and boundaries, everyone has to work to the same high standard and it allows audiences AND creators to relax in the knowledge that they know where they are with things. It really upsets me when I see people cheat an industry that I hold so dear so hurrah for transparency, hurrah for great, honest brands and hurrah for all of you!!
