Bit of a day today. Like, a DAY. I set myself a target in December to wipe my cal (hence no ads, events or trips this month) and write the first draft of Wilde Women. The entire first draft in 4 weeks.

It started well, I had fire fingers on the ole key board and was feeling smugger than when you’ve just had your hair done and you bump into your ex.
.
Problem is, creative tasks need to come from the heart (I literally pour a little bit of my soul into each project I do, especially the Wilde books) and sometimes you can’t just bosh out thousands of words. Well you could but they’d be a bit shoddy.
.
So here we are, days from ‘hand in day’ and I haven’t reached the end of the draft. I feel like I’m at war with myself. I’ve let myself down/I’ve tried my best/I can just keep going/I’ve let the publishing team down/I should pull the plug on the whole book/Am I just hungry? Anyone else hyper focus on this cycle of frustration?

I feel confident that this book will be epic and come Summer I’ll be skipping about in a floaty dress loving life the same way Kanye loves Kayne but today, nah.

I think these little squares can make life look a bit perfect sometimes can’t they? Well rest assured I’m sat with a mum-bun, I think the baby just ate an old pea off the floor and I’d like I might have a large glass of wine when the kids are in bed ???
