I had the tremendous honor of meeting Martin Luther King Jr. at Jackie Robinson's house in 1955, & from then on, my life was never the same. Civil rights work & political involvement was no longer an activity to do on the side. It became an essential part of life & humanity...Dr. King carried a light that has yet to be matched, & it is evident that it’s still burning bright today. On this day that we celebrate this incredible human being, may we never forget the messages he carried, or overlook the work he did. May we continue to further his light & life through our actions towards one another, each & every day. My love & condolences to the beautiful King family & prayers for a world that he once dreamed of.
