Summer of 2011 I was kind of lost. I didn’t want to do gymnastics anymore, I had tried track & field but didn’t find an event that suited me. I was use to the discipline of training 4 hours a day, 6 days a week. Waking up with a goal in mind & something to work towards getting better at. That summer I didn’t have that .. I felt lost.

That is when @アニー・スラスドーター won the @crossfitgames - It was all over the news & media in Iceland. They would show clips of her competing & my mom, grandma & best friend all had been hinting at me that maybe I should try that. That day I decided I would. I wanted to do what she had.

I still remember during one of my elements classes when the coach walks in .. it was ANNIE .. ohhhhhmygosh !! I couldn’t believe it was her. So starstruck. So shy. So intimidated. “No pressure” hehe

Fast forward to now, 7 years later & we are best friends. How CRAZY is that?! ??✨ That little 18 year old me never would have imagined that (or anything that the next 7 years have had to offer for that matter!!)

We have been through so much together. I have learned so much from her. She showed me what was POSSIBLE. Through thick or thin - she’s stuck w me. Forever ?? hah!!
