Roxanne was rescued by the Australia Zoo rescue team when she was found on the ground unable to fly. She’d been struck by a car and suffered horrific injures; a fractured wing, raptured air sac and bruised lungs. At the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital the veterinary team bandaged her wing, provided her with antibiotics and pain relief and monitored her closely. After weeks of recovery and rehabilitation, she was released back into the wild.
