Lucy was found washed on the beach in poor condition; she was dehydrated and her eyes were slightly sunken. She was brought to the Australia Zoo Wildlife where she was treated for the floating syndrome, a condition that bloats sea turtles, affects their buoyancy control and prevents them from diving. After one month of specialised treatment and medication, she was cleared to return to the ocean.
