Designer Sonya Sombreuil of underground brand, @COMETEES, started out making meticulously printed tees in small batches in her LA studio. Since then, she's made a leisure line from scratch; collaborated with local label @NosessoLA on an "anti-fashion" presentation (as she phrases it); and now, she's releasing her first denim capsule collection with an installation in NYC tonight. Inspired by her longtime interest in 1970s-era NYC graffiti, Sombreuil will host an exhibit, featuring hand-scrawled words, bold prints, and hand written logos (no two are exactly the same) emblazoned on bright red and baby blue denim set.
