One recent Friday afternoon, @BryanCranston came bounding through the downstairs lounge of the Belasco Theater and calmly declared “I have to go get crazy.” Then he ran up the stairs, onto the stage and resumed his role as Howard Beale in “Network,” the adaptation of Paddy Chayefsky’s 1976 film by the same name. The play, which is coming to #Broadway on Dec. 6, is about a fictional last-place TV station that has lost its moral compass and staked its future on a deranged anchorman. Though the film was written decades ago, #Network features an eerily accurate forecasting about the degradation of truth and has a timely message about the power of anger and what happens when society unleashes it en masse. “Our society does not welcome the emotion of anger,” Bryan said. “Why not? It’s a great motivator. It’s legitimate. Why is that not embraced as who we are?” @dedecim took this photo of Bryan while on set. Visit the link in our profile to see more.
