the kitchen is warm already- heady with the smell of brewed coffee and thanksgiving spices - which is helping immensely to combat this relentless dark day. Our lists are laid out on the counter and we are crossing lines off as we finish - things like wash salad greens, make pie crust, prep brussel sprouts - it’s as much about this time together as it is the actual meal.
