I like starting the week with a clean slate and find great calm and delicious delight in this little ritual. Clean window sills, line dried sheets (even in the winter) freshly vacuumed and mopped floors

I have been musing on the importance of these little rituals recently and find they are the things which ground me, giving me a cadence I crave. They are almost absurdly mundane but in the doing is an incredibly fulfilling pleasure - not grand gestures or effusive displays but the simple little parts that make up a whole rich full life - and perhaps most importantly- these practices are sustainable, do-able, achievable in the everyday and that creates space for those little moments to occur to let the magic in... as long as I remember to really take notice
