Henry Moore’s ‘Reclining Figure: Open Pose’ from 1982 is one of the artist’s final reclining figures, made while the artist was in his eighties.⠀

‘From the very beginning the reclining figure has been my main theme,' Moore has declared. ‘The first one I made was around 1924, and probably more than half of my sculptures since then have been reclining figures.’ ⠀

Henry Moore (1898–1986), ‘Reclining Figure: Open Pose’. Conceived and cast in 1982 in an edition of nine. Bronze with a green and brown patina, 37 ⅜ in. (95 cm.) long. Estimate: £1,200,000–1,800,000.⠀
