Man, this has been a really really difficult week. I’ve had a hard time thinking about much else outside of the excruciating loss of the 12 innocent people in Thousand Oaks, and the deadly fires devastating my home state. This was enough on it’s own but then add to the mix losing comic legend #stanlee a man who’s stories and epic characters have helped generations see themselves as the protagonists of their own lives rather than just passengers. His heroes like us are unlikely and imperfect, yet also like us, capable of performing miraculous feats for the greater good of humanity. It seems we need the heroes he helped create today more than ever. Thank you for your creative contributions to the world as they have become our modern mythology. I think a comic called “The Incredible Fire Man” feels right about now...
