I can’t wait for @betoorourke to win in Texas tomorrow.
I am so grateful my friend invited me to hear him speak at a small fundraiser back in March.
Beto was crackling with energy, zest and enthusiasm as he spoke to us about his intentions for Texas. He shared his plan and how he was going to do it with the help of people like me. -People willing to get on board for change.
As he spoke I couldn’t believe his knowledge and retention of people he met along his travels across the great state of Texas and the details of their individual circumstances. Immediately I realized he was the real deal.
I wanted to give monetarily, I wanted to volunteer and speak about him to as many people as I could reach and who were willing to listen.
I was awestruck by his determination to meet allll the people of Texas, to listen to them, to shake their hands. I was awestruck by his passion for change, his commitment to integrity and his will to run the most effective/ game-changing grassroots campaign in Texas to date.
He’s someone I am truly proud to support!! I am also so grateful to have stood next to him here, to have had this photo taken with him because... he inspires faith and hope for calmer days and I gotta be honest, I need that right now. I need to trust again in elected officials so I can go back to my daily life with confidence that the ship has corrected course. That we are in good hands. That we have people in office who are truly trying to do the right thing for not just Texans but all Americans.
He’s making history....And wow, I get to be here for it! Go Blue. Go @betoorourke ????????????
