Announcement: This weekend, I will take over the IG account of Redux @reduxpictures. You may check it. It is part of my current project — “End Game” for which this dementia woman's husband Clayton asked me to document their life. I am still copying with this project — dark themed human drama, since I know both of them for decades, and since it could be my own metaphor. Yet it is also my obligation, as an incredible huge number of people suffer with Dementia or alzheimer’s.
The caption: Through the laundry’s window, Elsa, 74, is looking at the outside and NYPD's patrol car that might bring her memory back somehow, even she is in dementia now. Till recent years, she had nearly always payed the strong attention at NYPD around her, actually her husband Clayton with worrying. It is because Clayton used to intensively document New York's political activities or protest by video or still camera, and consequently he had been arrested, more than 14 times, often with very harsh ways and for no specific reason. In the laundry, Elsa’s senior company, or care taker, is nearby, but she is not seen in the image. In United States alone, 5 million people or so are currently living with dementia, and 47.5 million worldwide.
