When shooting landscapes the hunt for interesting foreground is my favorite part. It’s the anchor to the frame and should say something about the location. I shot this along the California coastline last week on a rainy morning, the mood was dark and beautiful. When I spotted this crazy egg like formation I immediately posted up, I love the shape and erosion of it. It was right in the hit zone however and had me uprooting my camera and cleaning salt water off my my lens in-between waves, classic calisthenics when photographing tide pools!
