Today I drove along a small road in the Berkshires lined with beautiful large trees. It made be think of Thimmakka’s amazing banyan trees she planted nearly a century ago that line the road into her village. We paused for a moment when I photographed her last month while going to 108 year-old Thammakka’s home in Bangalore, India. Both she and her trees, were magnificent.
