The death toll after Indonesia’s earthquake and tsunami on Sept. 28 could climb far past the more than 830 people already confirmed dead, officials fear, as several large coastal towns remained cut off by damaged roads and downed communication lines. Authorities announced mass burials in a desperate attempt to stave off disease after the island of #Sulawesi was hit by a magnitude-7.5 earthquake and a tsunami.
