Protesters opposed to the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh demonstrate outside the Supreme Court on Sept. 28. President Trump has ordered the FBI to reopen its background investigation into Kavanaugh, his nominee, to examine sexual misconduct allegations following a last-minute request by Sen. Jeff Flake. The Arizona Republican became the vote to watch in the Judiciary Committee, which was voting on whether to advance Kavanaugh's confirmation to the full Senate, as it was made clear he was the only undecided member of either party. Both #Kavanaugh and Mark Judge, who Christine Blasey Ford said during testimony a day earlier was the only other eyewitness in the room when Kavanaugh allegedly sexually assaulted her, have agreed to cooperate with the investigation.
