After an entire night under star-filled sky, this was my last view before going to sleep. The first rays of sunrise on Mt Damavand, 10 years ago in the Alborz Mountain Range of Iran. At 5610 meters, it is the highest volcano in Asia, only 70km away from Tehran. It has been a legendary and sacred mountain in the ancient Persian culture.
