Photo by @anniegriffithsphotography for @rippleeffectimages. The Wangu School, located at the edge of one of Nairobi’s largest dumps, used to feel like part of the dump itself. There was no fence, so strangers used to wander into the school at night. CWS (@cws_global) fenced the school, brought in teachers, and installed water pumps and a feeding program. The kids receive healthy meals, clean drinking water, and can now play safely during recess. Today, it’s one of the best schools in Nairobi.
