African Wild Dogs have disappeared from much of their habitat range – it’s estimated there may be fewer than 1400 adults left in the wild. Their main threats are habitat fragmentation, conflict with human activities and disease. Our conservation partners, African Wildlife Conservation Fund have a mission to preserve African Wild Dogs and other large carnivores in Zimbabwe, as well as the habitats and prey species upon which they depend.
