Photo by @jonathan_irish // Grand Teton National Park is, without a doubt, one my of my favorite places in the world. The sheer natural beauty of the mountains, as reflected in the Snake River, is one of the great views in all of the national park system. This morning, at Oxbow Bend, was a sunrise to remember. Anytime you go to Oxbow Bend it will be crowded with photographers trying to capture this famous view. But I were there at the height of fall foliage during my 2016 assignment to visit all of the national parks, and there were even more photographers than usual. But what unfolded before our eyes, as the sun started to rise, the dramatic colors in the sky complementing the colors on the ground, took my breath away. Please join me in wishing a happy 102nd birthday to the National Park Service!!
