Just left this little girl at day care for the first time and everything was fine. It was fine it was fine it was fine. I packed her little bag with snacks and a sandwich (crust cut off like I’ve seen in the movies but never once in my life done myself) and a thermos of almond milk and her lovey and pacifier just in case. She put on her own shoes (almost) and waved to the dogs and then we drove to school. Everything was fine. It’s the cutest little place and the group is small and they have enough teachers and they all seem so sweet and I know it’s good for her to spend time with other kids and one day eventually she will go to school every day and I have to trust that she is okay. She climbed on me a lot when it was time for me to go but suddenly she just sat down around the table with all the other kids and drank her milk and ate her sandwich and when I said bye bye she didn’t cry. Everything was fine. It was fine it was fine it was fine. So why am I sitting in my car bawling my eyes out feeling like nothing is fine at all??? Literally can’t stop crying. It’s like my eyes are leaking. She’s off in the world on her own (a little) and I’m sitting here counting down the minutes until I get to go pick her back up. #partircestmourirunpeu
