The worst #flooding to hit southern India's #Kerala state in a century has displaced about 800,000 people and killed more than 350, the Associated Press reports. Thousands of rescuers utilizing hundreds of boats and some two dozen helicopters are working to reach those who remain stranded, the AP adds, per a top disaster management official there. Heavy rains that began on Aug. 8 triggered flooding and landslides that led to the collapse of homes and bridges.
