So, I’ve been thinking. Many of you have been commenting “I wish I had your life!” and I’ve heard teenagers saying “ugh, she’s so perfect! Why can’t I be like her???” about others on Instagram and I think we all need a reality check ( including me) ✅⠀

Social media is someone’s highlight reel. Repeat that. Say it out loud. Highlight reel. No one’s life is perfect. For every great pic that gets posted, I guarantee there are 87 bad ones that don’t make the cut. We need to remember not to judge the quality of our lives compared to someone’s photo that has been carefully selected, Facetuned, photoshopped, filtered and edited. THATS NOT REAL LIFE. Pinky swear. ??⠀

Next time you see a pic that makes you feel badly about your own life, I want you to stop and take a moment and think of one pretty great thing about yourself. We all have something about ourselves that makes us unique and special and perfect in our very own way. I promise that taking that moment will help you remember that we ALL have a highlight reel. Some of us are just better at posting the “perfect” pic. ? ⠀
