“Happy World Elephant Day! ?The actual move of these elephants involved a 16-hour + journey from start to finish and was the culmination of hundreds of hours of planning by countless key players and wildlife professionals. The transportation of these animals by @action4ifaw and @zen_wildislife was a crucial step in the right direction for wildlife conservation within Zimbabwe. This is the first conservation program of its kind in the country focusing on the holistic conservation approach to first rescue orphaned Elephants, rehabilitate them back to health, and then release them back into a newly protected conservation area so they can happily live the rest of their lives with other wild elephants. .
