Photograph by @paulnicklen // This chunk of glacier ice had just rolled. The golf ball like dimpling is from the current running along the underside of the ice. To give this otherwise lifeless scene some energy, I wanted to shoot a long exposure to create motion in the water. The sea was rolling around and so was our boat so the the only way I could hold my camera steady was to climb on top of the ice.
