••• Omelets are a great choice for breakfast, especially when traveling. The white of the egg is packed with protein and the yolk is full of healthy omega-3’s fats. But if you don’t have fat in your macros in the morning you can easily opt for just egg whites; or if you need to add in some veggies, my go to is always spinach for quick and easy fiber. Most people are probably quick to classify waffles as unhealthy or not macro friendly, but this isn’t necessarily always the case. A typical 4-inch round whole wheat waffle is right around 100 calories with 3-4 grams of fat. Where most people go wrong is with mounds of toppings or syrup added.

??Next time when ordering a healthy carb source with your morning meal look for one made with whole grains and ask for no oil! Between different carbs and veggies you should have no problem with breakfast choices. Understand what works for your body and what it takes for you to reach your goal faster. Set yourself up for success this August with a more personalized diet plan.
