Each day for me, is a lesson in how to be a better mom. I try to set a good example for my children in all ways-of course I am not perfect, which makes it a never ending learning process for all of us. That means making big decisions for myself and my family with a great deal of research, especially when it comes to things like managing pain. We all do the best we can with the options we are given.
When I learned that 1-in-5 people are at increased risk of becoming addicted to opioids with just a 10-day Prescription, it startled me, but also motivated me to talk about these subjects that are important but not easy to discuss.
