Villagers take refuge in a makeshift evacuation center in Champasak, southern Laos, after escaping the fast-rising waters from a dam breach on July 23. A Red Cross official told the Associated Press that 24 bodies had been recovered after heavy rains caused the breach at a major hydroelectric project due to open next year. At least 96 people are officially listed as missing from the accident on Monday night, the official said, adding that about 6,600 people have been displaced.
