⠀
Ammal Farhat, 45, is among more than 2,000 women who applied to drive for the popular ride-hailing app @careemksa, after the Saudi government last year announced the lifting of its female driving ban as part of major social and economic overhauls.⠀

⠀
The Wall Street Journal caught a ride with Ms. Farhat in the city of Jeddah to find out what passengers think of the changes.⠀
