Today’s transformation isn’t just the exterior differences that you can see in these two pictures my darlings, the biggest change is infact within my heart mind and soul. The left picture was taken in 2013 at the age of 25 and it was the very last time that I stepped out as an abused woman, the right picture was taken today at the age of 30 right after a 2hr workout at the gym. I never realised how bad my life was throughout my twenties and that’s not an easy thing for me to admit. I didn’t realise I was being used, abused, mistreated, disrespected and criticised for my every move. I felt old and worn beyond my years, uneasy in my own skin, unsettled in my self esteem and had very little confidence or purpose. I look back at this picture of me 5yrs ago and wish I could give myself a hug, tell myself everything will be ok and help myself to realise that freedom from abuse is one of the most incredibly necessary battles to face. Today I am a woman reborn, I have never been happier, more cheerful, self fulfilling and at peace with every aspect of my life. To escape constant lies, cheating, selfish demands, blackmail and resentment took me 10yrs. From the age of 19-29 I lived silently though such pain and sadness that no man woman or child should ever have to face, it utterly destroyed me, I became a ghost of myself. Today I wholeheartedly appreciate and celebrate my freedom. So I hope you’ll excuse me if at times I may seem over talkative, too energetic, impossibly enthusiastic and positive - I’ve just had a second chance at life my darlings and I’m thankful beyond measure. If you’d been allowed to live your own life as yourself for the first time ever I’m sure you’d feel exactly the same way -----------------------
